That's the attitude we need this election. I don't distinguish between ANY of the GOP candidates. They all lead to the same road of a further weakening economy, continued mistrust of the US by the rest of the world, and a determination to use our military for their own personal political goals.
I'm 100% on board on defeating McCain. But Giuliani is absolutely worse.
Reap is right. I was actually pulling for McCain on the Republican side for two reasons.
1) Despite being a media darling, he is not a strong candidate in terms of personal energy and ability to generate excitement. He is kind of a Bob Dole without the sense of humor. Plus the fact he had to hug W so hard for 4 years to get the righties to sort of accept him has crippled his ability to position himself on issues.
2) His policies and ideology are stupid, crazy and wrong, and I would never vote for him in a million years, but with the possible exception of Paul, McCain is slightly less crazy and wrong than any of the other Republican candidates this year.
Shorter version: I wanted McCain because (1) he will probably lose, and (2) he might win.
